Practicum Internship: Week Eleven
Next to the last week! The internship has developed into a, dare I say it, job. Yes, the sheen has rubbed off. It's a run of the mill, do-the-same-thing-every-day, job. The silver lining is, that I have found that I have a feel and a flair, for working in front of the camera (in class, as well as at the internship). Not just in my opinion, but so I have been told. So, I have a couple of ideas for shows, that would put me in front of the camera. My future employer is amenable, and solicitous of such ideas, and my only dilemma is, whether to save them for my own television station.
The head of the station where I intern, is 78 and hosts his own show, so why not me? The curriculum of the media classes that we have had, at KKC, have trained us to handle everything from the news, to reality shows. I never considered that I would be able to put all of that to use; but my vision has grown to include many unthought of possibilities. The opportunities and encouragement that I have received at my internship, have complemented my education in unforeseen ways. Now, I feel that the sky is the limit!
